Embark on this journey with us as we support causes close to our hearts. Everything we do is in line with our values of celebrating each other and giving back. With Leicester being the heart of history and culture there are many endeavours to explore.
Here's where you can find us this March:
1. Wednesday 7th March: An Evening with Silk Road Coffee
The University of Leicester Islamic Society will be hosting us for their intimate coffee evening. Everything made on this day will be donated to Amos Trust charity, for their Palestine Crisis Campaign.
On this day we will be showcasing our Levantine Lullaby, a portion of our profits from each order are donated to the Palestine Crisis. Each of our roasts are inspired by the traditional tastes of regions along the Silk Road.
Our Levantine Lullaby guides you to experience the grounding, earthy elegance, reminiscent of the Levant's rich and ancient soil. Continuing to the sweet, golden notes of honey, invoking images of fragrant Mediterranean blooms. Finishing with a gentle whispers of lavender to caress your palate, like a breeze from a Mediterranean garden in full bloom.
2. Saturday 9th March: International Women's Day
The Shama Women's Centre does amazing work to support ethnic minority women every day. The purpose of this event is to spread awareness about the increased risk of ethnic minority individuals in developing respiratory problems.
The theme of this event is Women in Business, this is an amazing opportunity to empower and support women in making their dreams come true. One of the earliest International Women Days was in 1848, when women protested against their civil, social, political and religious rights. The celebration of women continues today.
Everyone is welcome to celebration this day with the Shama Women's Centre.
