Tales of the Lands: The Levant and it's Dabke

The Levantine Lullaby through the lens of history:

While we trace through history lets pause for a moment and understand what we mean by the Levant.

The Levant is also known as the Mediterranean region. As we embark on a voyage through time we come to understand the Levant played an important role in the Silk Road routes. Imagine a time where we would travel along sandy sites, the Levant helped goods cross through the Eastern Mediterranean and Northeast Africa.

You may wonder why we have chosen the Levant as a focus point. Well, the magic of coffee is an important part of the culture. The liquid gold is a portrayal of hospitality and respect.

A taste of culture:

History aside, as we travel through sandy trade routes we also transpire in the celebrations of the lands.  Although we may all differ we have one thing in common... Celebration. An entrancing celebration, of the Levant, is the Dabke.

Discover the Dabke?

The Dabke ,a traditional Arab Folk dance, is performed at social gathering as a form of connection; imagine gracefully uniting the movements of circles and lines through synchronised steps, stomps, and kicks. Paired with heart-warming songs we can experience the magic of oneness.

A glance in time:

The Debke rose from the chilly Levantine mountains many centuries ago. Dance has been a part of us since the beginning of time, as gentle way to express joy, bonding, and pleasure.

Many thanks to our coffee lover for sharing the beautiful story.

The Silk Road was used as one of the first attempts to bring the world together so we want to do the same through our Bean Tales.

We would love to hear your stories for a chance to be featured.
